Just before 10 p.m. Monday, officers with the Glasgow Police Department responded to a theft at Canaanland Baptist Church on Oil City Road.<\/p>\n
A caller watching from security cameras had reported two male subjects, later identified as Timothy Goad and Roscoe Ennis were loading their truck with building supplies from the church.<\/p>\n
Officers said upon their arrival, the truck occupied by the males drove towards them with no headlights on. Despite officers activating their emergency lights, the vehicle allegedly failed to stop and collided with the police K9 cruiser, rendering it undriveable, according to a news release.<\/p>\n
The officer driving the vehicle and the K-9 occupying it were no longer involved in the pursuit.<\/p>\n
After colliding with the cruiser, the truck continued onto Oil City Road before turning onto Veterans Outer Loop, where after a short vehicle pursuit, Goad and Ennis exited the vehicle and fled on foot.<\/p>\n
Both subjects were apprehended and detained. No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n
A search of the truck revealed suspected methamphetamine and a glass methamphetamine pipe.<\/p>\n
Both Ennis and Goad were charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition – between $1,000 and $10,000, first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), and possession of drug paraphernalia.<\/p>\n
Goad was additionally charged with leaving the scene of an accident – failure to render aid or assistance, reckless driving, first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), first-degree wanton endangerment (three counts), first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine) and operating motor vehicle under influence substance first offense.<\/p>\n
Ennis was additionally charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, three or fewer offenses (methamphetamine).<\/p>\n
Both are lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.<\/p>\n
The Barren County Sheriff Department and Kentucky State Police assisted in the arrests.
