\nFive people have been indicted in Ohio County in connection to the exploitation of an adult and the use of forged instruments.<\/p>\n

The Kentucky Attorney General\u2019s Office announced the indictments, which were handed down July 15.<\/p>\n

An investigation was conducted by the Attorney General\u2019s Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control.<\/p>\n

Assistant Attorneys General Linsey Hogg and Emily Campbell presented the case before an Ohio County grand jury, according to a news release.<\/p>\n

Darron Lee Brawner, 50, an attorney from Rumsey, and Douglas Key, 57, of Clarkson, were indicted for the exploitation of a vulnerable adult and four counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.<\/p>\n

Jana Brawner, 38, of Rumsey, was indicted on one count of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.<\/p>\n

Kristy Burchfield, 55, of Owensboro, and Kyle Lane Nixon, 31, of Hardinsburg, were indicted on two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.<\/p>\n
