Mark Rudolph, 29, had a pre-trial hearing Monday. He is charged with murder, robbery, burglary and tampering with evidence in the death of Bettie Collins.<\/p>\n
Court documents say investigators found knives with DNA on them in the victim\u2019s car that Rudolph abandoned. They also suggest they found Collins\u2019 blood on Rudolph\u2019s clothes.<\/p>\n
The defense requested one of their experts be in the lab of the DNA testing facility while testing is underway. Prosecutors said that wasn\u2019t possible. The judge ruled that she will need more time to find out why, saying she is not opposed to the request.<\/p>\n
The case is back in court September 17.
