According to her attorney, she was not able to appear in court due to her now residing in Tennessee.<\/p>\n
An investigation into First Baptist Church initially began in February, after an anonymous complaint alleged a teacher slapped a child at First Baptist Church\u2019s daycare.<\/p>\n
A state investigator ruled out this specific incident after reviewing surveillance footage.<\/p>\n
However, upon being reviewed by Judge Potter and the Court Attorney\u2019s Office, it was determined Shobe was involved in 10 incidents that appeared to be criminal, involving seven juveniles to be considered victims of abuse.<\/p>\n
Shobe has been ordered to have an anger management assessment and counseling and must bring written proof to the judge.<\/p>\n
She is no longer allowed to work in any childcare facilities. If she does not comply with these conditions, she can potentially face jail time.<\/p>\n
Initially, Shobe had pleaded not guilty in her arraignment in May of this year. Now that she has pleaded guilty, there will no longer be a trial.
