\nThirty-seven people, including 13 from Louisville, have been indicted by a federal grand jury for being a part of an interstate drug trafficking ring.<\/p>\n

On August 6, the federal grand jury in Louisville returned five indictments charging the 37, 34 of whom are from Kentucky, with trafficking in meth, cocaine and fentanyl. In addition to the 13 from Louisville, a media release from the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office, Western District of Kentucky states 19 of the indicted are from the Owensboro area, one from Lexington, and three from California.<\/p>\n
The first indictment charges 14 people with one count of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute controlled substances. Federal prosecutors say as early as March 2023 and continuing through August 5, 2024, the 14 defendants conspired to possess with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and 5 kilograms or more of cocaine.<\/p>\n
Those charged in that indictment are:
\nD\u2019Andre Williams, 40, of Adelanto, California,
\nElmondo Elliott, 55, of Los Angeles, California,
\nDesmond Knox, 50, of Menifree, Califoria,
\nDjuan Truss, 42, of Louisville,
\nRayshawn Spearman Sr., 39, of Louisville,
\nRayshawn Spearman Jr., 26, of Louisville,
\nBrandan Arnold, 42, of Louisville,
\nAntonio Arnold, 44, of Louisville,
\nDwayne Evans, 35, of Louisville,
\nMelanie Surrell, 45, of Louisville,
\nAntionio Evans, 42, of Louisville,
\nDavonte Hoskins, 28, of Louisville,
\nGardner Webb, 31, of Louisville, and
\nTanaja Lee, 23, of Louisville.
\nThe indictment also charges Williams, Truss, Spearman Sr., and Elliott of possession with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a methamphetamine mixture and possession with the intent to distribute 5 kilograms or more of cocaine.<\/p>\n
The second indictment charges eight defendants with one count each of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine. Prosecutors say that happened as early as March 2023 and continued through August 5, 2024.<\/p>\n
Those named in that indictment are:
\nRichard Boarman, 48, of Owensboro,
\nJoshua Estap, 40, of Owensboro,
\nJustin Riley, 41, of Owensboro,
\nBobby Douglas, 56, of Lexington,
\nJamie Voyles, 44, of Owensboro,
\nGregory Nuckols, 61, of Owensboro,
\nZachariah Nance, 44, of Utica, Ky., and
\nHope Warsinsky, 39, of Owensboro.<\/p>\n
The third indictment charges three Owensboro residents with one count each of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute meth. Federal prosecutors say the trio were trying to distribute 50 grams or more.<\/p>\n
Those suspects have been identified as:
\nCameron Jackson, 24, of Owensboro,
\nDamone McGuire, 29, of Owensboro, and
\nTyler Vinson, 32, of Owensboro.
\nJackson is also charged with possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of meth, 40 grams or more of fentanyl, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.<\/p>\n
The fourth indictment charges eight persons with one count each of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute meth. Prosecutors say the suspects conspired to possess with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of meth.<\/p>\n
Those suspects have been identified as:
\nJason Salyer, 50, of Louisville,
\nJulia Parrish, 53, of Owensboro,
\nJonathan Hawkins, 43, of Owensboro,
\nJeramey Hawkins, 46, of Owensboro,
\nTimothy Roach, 37, of Owensboro,
\nCharles Nelson, 41, of Utica, Ky.,
\nJoe Turner, 46, of Owensboro.<\/p>\n
Federal prosecutors say the four people charged in the fifth indictment conspired to possess with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of meth.<\/p>\n
They have been identified as:
\nDiana Miranda, 38, of Owensboro,
\nDeandre Williams, 27, of Louisville,
\nTimothy Roberts, 46, of Owensboro, and
\nShalonna Slaughters, 57, of Owensboro.<\/p>\n
According to the U.S. Attorney, 31 of the suspects have made their initial court appearance before a U.S. Magistrate Judge either in Kentucky or California. The remaining six are in state custody and will make their initial court appearances at a later date.
