Betty Snider, 34, is facing three counts of wanton endangerment, three counts of abandonment of a minor, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. Police said her daughters are 16, 11, and 10-years-old.<\/p>\n
An Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson said officers were called to the home by Jefferson County Public Schools when the oldest daughter came to school Thursday malnourished and dehydrated.<\/p>\n
When they arrived to the home on Home Park Drive, officers found the two youngest daughters living outside without access to food and water. An arrest slip said the girls appeared dirty, hungry, and had visible injuries.<\/p>\n
The arrest slip said the girls told police they had been sleeping in swings and chairs outside, as well as in the tent.<\/p>\n
The arrest slip said Snider told officers the home was unlivable and filled with items and that she hadn\u2019t entered the home in months.<\/p>\n
All three girls were sent to Norton Children\u2019s Hospital for treatment. LMPD\u2019s Crimes Against Children Unit is leading the investigation.
