Deputies initiated a traffic stop after locating the vehicle and trailer, however, the subject did not stop.<\/p>\n
They said the driver of the vehicle, 34 year-old Justin Key of Westmoreland, Tennessee, was observed driving recklessly, nearly causing multiple accidents with other vehicles as he drove in the opposite lane of travel. Key eventually took the stolen vehicle and trailer off the roadway, striking a fence. He then came to a stop near Holly Road and Old Gallatin Road, according to police.<\/p>\n
Key fled on foot into a nearby wooded area where a brief foot pursuit started. Deputies caught up to Key where they then took him into custody.<\/p>\n
Key is currently being held at the Allen County Detention Center. He has been charged with Theft of an automobile; Fleeing or evading police (first-degree); Fleeing or evading police (third-degree); Criminal mischief (first-degree); Receiving stolen property; Criminal mischief (second-degree); Reckless driving and Failure to use signal.
