\nMembers of Meade County Fiscal Court met during a special called meeting Tuesday (9\/9) evening as they began their townhall tour in Muldraugh.<\/p>\n

Tuesday’s meeting was the first of town hall and meetings to allow county leaders to be more accessible to the citizens of the county in each district. The next meeting of the series will be held in the Second Magisterial District in November.<\/p>\n

During the business session, the court approved a private road petition from residents along Brady Lane to begin the process of the county to pave their road. Magistrates approved a request to implement a $100 Dead Run fee for the Solid Waste and Recycling Center. The fee would be charged if dumpsters are not accessible on pickup dates without proper arrangements made. They also approved requests to expand the Solid Waste Advisory Board and hiring additional personnel for the recycling center in order to process additional materials due to new contracts at the center.<\/p>\n

The court heard and approved resolution for KOHS law enforcement grants for duty weapons and taser equipment for the sheriff’s office and detention center. They also approved a resolution for a illegal open dump cleanup grant.<\/p>\n

The court approved the first reading of ordinances related to amending the B1\/B2 Planning and Zoning and Code of Ethics procedures. <\/p>\n
