\nThe Nelson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a gas station employee accused in a possible sexual assault earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Deputies said a 17-year-old girl told police it happened September 14 when she bought gas and other items from the Creek Mart gas station on Louisville Road. According to the Sheriff’s Office Facebook post, the teen was leaving but was waved back inside by 30-year-old Ketan Patel. She said Patel gave her a free vape, grabbed her chest and tried to pull her into the freezer area. <\/p>\n

The teen was able to get away and called her parents. When police arrived, they spoke to Patel and the teen’s parents. <\/p>\n

Patel was subsequently arrested. He is now charged with unlawful imprisonment, unlawful transaction with a minor and unlawful transaction with a minor involving an illegal sex act. He is being held in the Nelson County Correctional Center under a $200,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in Nelson County District Court on September 19.
