Police described the victim as a Hispanic man believed to be in his 20s or 30s. According to police, his body was found with multiple stab wounds, including one across his neck. It also appeared to investigators that his body was dragged several feet to be hidden from plain view.<\/p>\n
A witness told police that the victim, whose name has not been released yet, went missing late at night on Saturday, September 21. Through the investigation, 28-year-old Miguel Andrade Giron, of Louisville, was named as a person of interest.<\/p>\n
An arrest citation says Giron lived with the victim, and that he allegedly tried to pack his bags and flee the state after the body was found. Police said Giron\u2019s vehicle was spotted traveling close to where the victim was found a short time after he was seen alive.<\/p>\n
On September 23, police said Giron was arrested on unrelated charges. The next day, detectives executed a search warrant for Giron\u2019s truck. During the search, detectives found a pair of shoes that had blood on them. Also found was a pair of jeans covered in blood stuffed inside a bag inside the bed of the truck.<\/p>\n
Blood was also found on the rear passenger side of the truck, on the driver\u2019s and passenger doors, and in the compartment area.<\/p>\n
Giron faces additional charges of murder, abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence. He was already being held at the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections on unrelated charges and will remain there as the Judicial process begins on the new charges.<\/p>\n
Police said he initially lied about his involvement in the murder but later said he and the victim got into an argument. Giron told police he took a knife from the victim and forced him into the truck, driving him to East Indian Trail and Petersburg Road.<\/p>\n
Giron admitted to stabbing the man multiple times before dragging him into the woods and leaving. The citation said Giron claims to have thrown the knife out the window while driving and wiping blood from the truck.
