\nA Smith’s Grove man is in custody after authorities responded to a fire at the Kroger grocery store on the 31-W Bypass in Bowling Green.<\/p>\n
According to the arrest citation, police say 35 year-old Derek Coleman was arrested after he allegedly set two cardboard Halloween displays on fire inside the store and a large stack of hay bales outside the store around 2:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
Coleman\u2019s motive for starting the fires is unknown.<\/p>\n
Upon a search, police found a meth pipe with residue of methamphetamine inside his pocket.<\/p>\n
He is facing the following charges:<\/p>\n
First-degree arson
\nWanton endangerment
\nFirst-degree possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine
\nSecond-degree disorderly conducted
\nSecond-degree criminal mischief
\nPossession of drug paraphernalia<\/p>\n
No injuries were reported as a result of the fires.<\/p>\n
Colman is being held in the Warren County Regional Jail without bond.
