Wednesday, Louisville Metro Police arrested 18 year-old William Irvin and charged him with murder. LMPD Spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said Irvin was arrested on a warrant after a foot pursuit with police in the 1400 block of Dixie Highway.<\/p>\n
On Friday, September 13, around 2:30 p.m. police responded to the 1600 block of Dixie Highway in Louisville’s Algonquin neighborhood on a report of a shooting. Police on scene found 18-year-old Jerrick Young, who had been shot. Young was pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n
Witnesses at the scene said Young was leaving JJ Food Mart when he was shot and killed.<\/p>\n
Irvin is due to be arraigned Thursday, October 10.
