\nUnited Parcel Service is gearing up for the holiday season and is looking for seasonal workers ahead of the holiday rush.<\/p>\n

The company’s “Brown Friday” hiring events are scheduled to start this week as it looks to hire more than 1,900 seasonal employees in Louisville.<\/p>\n

Positions include package handlers at $21 an hour, seasonal support drivers at $23 an hour, plus mileage reimbursement, and driver helpers at $18.40 an hour. UPS is also hiring full-time and permanent feeder drivers, starting at $23 an hour.<\/p>\n

This Friday’s hiring event is “Candy Land-themed.” It takes place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the UPS Center for Employment Opportunities at 8203 National Turnpike. <\/p>\n

Those interested in attending one of the hiring fairs can look at open jobs, submit applications and make an appointment for one of the events by clicking here<\/a>. Officials said making an appointment is optional, but helps secure a spot. If you can’t attend one of the events, the company said you can still apply online.<\/p>\n

Hiring events will also be held Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both days, also at the UPS Center for Employment Opportunities. <\/p>\n
