\nGrayson County deputies have arrested a man wanted in a home invasion that occurred early Monday morning on Shrewsbury Road in Grayson County.<\/p>\n

A masked man broke into a home, pointed a long gun at a female victim and fled with her purse.<\/p>\n
A search for the man ensued, with the Grayson County Sheriff\u2019s Office asking the public for information regarding the suspect\u2019s whereabouts or identity. A person of interest was identified, but at that time, it was unclear if that person was involved in the invasion.<\/p>\n
That search came to a close Tuesday evening. At approximately 7 p.m., Grayson County Sheriff’s Office received multiple reports on the whereabouts of the person of interest. Deputies were able to identify the subject and the vehicle he was driving, which was associated with the initial home invasion.<\/p>\n
The subject was identified as 37 year-old Richard Price, of Caneyville. Price was found to have active warrants out of Marion County for first-degree assault and first-degree robbery, as well as child support and criminal mischief warrants.<\/p>\n
Due to the nature of the home invasion and Price\u2019s criminal history, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from Kentucky State Police and Caneyville police for the arrest. Police surrounded Price\u2019s apartment and ordered him out of the building. He complied and was arrested without incident.<\/p>\n
The home invasion victim\u2019s purse was found in the vehicle Price was driving, according to deputies.<\/p>\n
In addition to being served the active arrest warrants out of Marion County, Price was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center on first-degree robbery, first-degree wanton endangerment and identity theft charges. Authorities say he will likely face additional charges once the case is presented to the Grayson County Grand Jury.<\/p>\n
Price is being held on a $290,000 cash bond.<\/p>\n
The investigation remains ongoing by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office.
