\nA man is dead after leading Louisville Metro Police on a pursuit Sunday that began in Shively and went into Oldham County before ending in the Chickasaw neighborhood where he sustained a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound.<\/p>\n

Louisville Police said the chase began at around 9:30 a.m. on November 17 when officers attempted to make a traffic stop on a man with outstanding warrants on Dixie Highway and Ralph Avenue. The man fled and was pursued by officers including the LMPD Air Unit, who were able to locate the vehicle.<\/p>\n
He continued to flee and led a chase across several divisions across town and into Oldham County before returning to Louisville. The man crashed into a parked vehicle at 39th and Broadway but continued to flee, returning to that area later where he sustained the deadly gunshot wound.<\/p>\n
During the chase, an officer crashed into another vehicle. Two people in that vehicle were taken to UofL Hospital and are expected to live. The officer was not injured.
