At least seven robberies were reported in the early hours of Saturday, November 23, over by MidCity Mall in the Highlands and in the St. Matthews area.<\/p>\n
The robberies generated a lot of talk and fear online. Louisville Metro Police Department said after a multi-agency search they have arrested 19-year-old Chanchiz Brown and 21-year-old Dontray Crumes for the crimes.<\/p>\n
In most of the reported cases, police say the two were masked and would approach victims in parking lots, blocking them in with their vehicles. Police said the two would hold the victims at gunpoint before robbing them.<\/p>\n
In one case, they allegedly pistol-whipped a victim. They have both been charged with multiple counts of robbery and evading police.<\/p>\n
Louisville Metro Police Department said they are still looking for one additional suspect. Police did not provide a description of that suspect but they still encourage anyone with information to call their anonymous tipline 574-LMPD.
