\nA man has been arrested for plotting to kill a Kenton County commonwealth attorney and judge, according to court records.<\/p>\n

The court documents say 48 year-old Brian Keith Tucker is charged with retaliating against a participant in a legal process after police received a tip from Tucker\u2019s friend.<\/p>\n
Sometime between October 1 and November 26, the friend reported to a detective that Tucker had been threatening to kill Commonwealth\u2019s Attorney Rob Sanders and a female judge, Kathy Lape, according to court documents.<\/p>\n
The friend said Tucker wanted to kill the two because he was unhappy about not being paid from a civil lawsuit related to an arson charge, which he was found not guilty of.<\/p>\n
Sanders prosecuted the case and Judge Lape presided over the trial.<\/p>\n
Tucker and Sanders were members of the gym they frequented and expressed plans of how he would go about the killing at that location.<\/p>\n
According to the complaint, Tucker planned to sneak up behind Sanders at the gym and \u201cslit his throat,\u201d or hide in the woods and \u201csnipe\u201d Sanders with a rifle.<\/p>\n
Court documents show that the friend of Tucker said he had also become a target of Tucker\u2019s deadly threats and attributed it to his consumption of large amounts of cocaine.<\/p>\n
Kenton County Sgt. Ryan Roessier continued the investigation and contacted Tucker\u2019s girlfriend.<\/p>\n
This girlfriend, per documents, also said Tucker has been acting erratically and hadn\u2019t been home in a few days.<\/p>\n
Through her, Sgt. Roessier was able to talk with Tucker\u2019s brother, who told him Tucker was suffering from a \u201cmental break\u201d and was going through \u201cviolent mood swings\u201d.<\/p>\n
Tucker\u2019s brother, according to court records, advised police that Tucker is very violent, hates police and urged extreme caution in any encounters with him.<\/p>\n
Tucker is now being held in Boone County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
