William Vincent and Barry Hardison had their medical licenses revoked on November 27 after the Commonwealth of Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure found they violated the Board\u2019s regulations among other allegations.<\/p>\n
Officials say it came to the attention of the Board as a result of a grievance filed by a Social Services Clinician in the Department of Corrections who was concerned that Hardison and Vincent may be over prescribing controlled substances where they both worked at A New Start in Central City.<\/p>\n
On the same day as the complaints, the Board issued Emergency Orders of Restrictions against Vincent and Hardison\u2019s licenses, restricting them from practicing medicine.<\/p>\n
They say although the factual allegations against the two physicians are not identical and involve different patients, the basis of the alleged types of misconduct were similar.<\/p>\n
Authorities say they reviewed 18 patients of Vincent\u2019s and 16 patients of Hardison\u2019s whose records were consistent with concerns of their prescribing practices.<\/p>\n
The report says 53 exhibits were submitted into evidence for Hardison\u2019s case, and 77 were submitted in Vincent\u2019s case.<\/p>\n
As of the ruling date, Hardison and Vincent have 30 days to appeal the revocation of their licenses.
