According to court records, two elementary aged students had multiple bruises and wounds.<\/p>\n
The children told officers they were whipped with a charging cord and at least one of them was put in a tub of cold water as punishment.<\/p>\n
Bowling Green Police officers made contact with the parents at their residence and interviewed them on the allegations.<\/p>\n
According to the citation, Byaombe Saidi told officers she hit both children with a stick on various occasions and used cold water baths as punishment. Joseph Msendele denied physically disciplining their children and causing any of their injuries.<\/p>\n
According to court records, five children were taken to the hospital for treatment. While there, one of the children, aged two, was discovered to have bruises and potentially burns on their body.<\/p>\n
Both Saidi, 27, and Msendele, 33, were charged with Criminal Abuse (1st Degree) of a Child and taken to the Warren County Regional Jail.
