According to arrest documents, 41 year-old Richard Marzec is charged with one count of abuse of a victim less than 12 years old. The citation says Marzec assaulted his seven-year-old family member in Danville back in 2018.<\/p>\n
Marzec allegedly assaulted the child in his basement on at least three separate occasions.<\/p>\n
While Nelson County Officials would confirm that Marzec was an employee of the Nelson County School District, they would not say which school he worked for.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for the Nelson County School District said that immediately upon Marzec\u2019s arrest, he was suspended from work and school properties and was barred from interacting with Nelson County students and staff.<\/p>\n
Marzec was arrested on December 6 and lodged in the Boyle County Jail under a $20,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, December 17.
