It crashed in an open field near KY-54 and KY-1414 in Fordsville Friday evening.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Troopers say 41 year-old Brian E. Tierney of Reynolds Station, for unknown reasons lost control of his aircraft, causing him to crash. Tierney was trapped in the aircraft for a short time.<\/p>\n<p>Highway KY-54 was shut down while AirEvac landed on the highway. Tierney was taken to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana where he is listed in stable condition. He suffered two broken legs and body lacerations.<\/p>\n<p>No other people were injured or property damaged during the crash. A wrecker removed the aircraft from the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the Whitesville and Fordsville Volunteer Departments, and the Ohio County EMA.<br \/>\nSource:  WBKO<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kentucky State Police continue to investigate an ultra-lite personal aircraft wreck.
