Brandenburg Police were dispatched to River Road in Brandenburg near Buttermilk Falls on a report that 30-year-old Robert Simpson was meeting with two minor girls, aged 12 and 13, with the intent to have sex with them, according to the arrest citation.<\/p>\n
The girls told police they had been talking with Simpson for months over the phone, planning to meet and have sex.<\/p>\n
According to the citation, Simpson admitted to what he had done and provided police with a written statement.<\/p>\n
Simpson is charged with procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means and unlawful transaction with a minor, and is being held in the Meade County Jail under an $11,000 cash bond. He is due in court Thursday at 9 a.m.
