\nOne person is dead after a boat capsized on Lake Cumberland in Russell County.<\/p>\n
\nOne person is dead after a boat capsized on Lake Cumberland in Russell County.<\/p>\n
The Russell County Coroner has identified the man as 44-year-old Armando Penaloza, of Russell Springs.<\/p>\n
According to Russell County Search & Rescue, they were dispatched at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday morning for a capsized boat with two men inside.<\/p>\n
They say one of the men was recovered from the water alert and conscious, while the other man, Penaloza, was found unconscious.<\/p>\n
They say he was pulled from the water, and CPR was given on-scene.<\/p>\n
Both men were taken to the hospital, where Penaloza was later pronounced dead.<\/p>\n
How the boat capsized is not known.<\/p>\n
Russell County EMS, the Russell County Sheriff\u2019s Office and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife responded to the incident.<\/p>\n
The investigation is ongoing.
