\nSeveral rounds of heavy and severe thunderstorms packed large hail, gusty winds, torrential rainfall and several reports of tornadoes Tuesday (5\/10) afternoon. <\/p>\n
Severe storms ripped through parts of Breckinridge County during the afternoon and evening with an area stretching from Harned to Custer seeing the most damage. Around 1:30 pm CDT, a report of a funnel cloud in the air in the Custer area. There were multiple reports of trees and power lines down along with reports of residential structures and barns either damaged or destroyed.<\/p>\n
Highway 60 in Harned and Kentucky 86 between Hensley and Dyer were closed to traffic in the late afternoon to allow crews to clear and trees and lines off the road. School buses were held 30-45 minutes after normal dismissal time to allow for the clean-up. <\/p>\n
Tornadoes were reported in Maysville in Western Kentucky and in Hart County as multiple rounds of super celled storms moved through the Ohio River Valley during the afternoon and evening.<\/p>\n
