The boy had been taken there by private means and was later transferred to Norton Children\u2019s Hospital. He is expected to survive his injuries. Police believe the child accidentally shot himself on Mango Court.<\/p>\n
Louisville Metro Police Department later announced they had arrested the child\u2019s father, 23-year-old Jacob Mosley.<\/p>\n
Court documents say Mosley told police he left the firearm in the nightstand and while he was in the shower, he heard a pop, opened the door, and found the child shot in the arm. Police said the child stated the gun was on the bed.<\/p>\n
Mosley is charged with assault-domestic violence, criminal abuse of a child, and wanton endangerment.
