According to court records, Michael Sheehan pleaded guilty on February 14 to multiple charges including arson, burglary, criminal mischief, tampering with physical evidence and intimidating a participant in the legal process.<\/p>\n
On February 21, 2024, a fire broke out at the Wendy\u2019s restaurant on U.S. 31 W Bypass. Court records state Sheehan broke into the store, stole $2,000 from a safe, and returned an hour later to remove the DVR box with surveillance footage and set fire to the store.<\/p>\n
The fire caused over $1,000,000 in damages.<\/p>\n
Sheehan was arrested weeks later by Bowling Green Police.<\/p>\n
He faces 20 years for the crime, according to court records. His sentencing is scheduled for April 29.
