According to a statement by Superintendent of the Russellville Independent School District, Kyle Estes, the school was made aware of the social media post on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Russellville Police went to the student\u2019s residence, where they were then arrested.<\/p>\n
\u201cFollowing the completion of the investigation, Russellville High School will enforce appropriate disciplinary actions in accordance with the Russellville Independent School District Code of Conduct,\u201d the statement said. \u201cAny threat, whether made in person or online, is taken with the utmost seriousness and will result in immediate intervention, including law enforcement involvement as necessary.\u201d<\/p>\n
The school district urges parents and guardians to speak with their children about the consequences of making or sharing threats online.<\/p>\n
They encourage those with questions or concerns to reach out to the school administration.
