On Sunday, January 26, Bowling Green Police responded to a shots fired call in the 100 block of Audley Avenue.<\/p>\n
According to court documents, an officer spoke with 22-year-old Tylan Barnett of Bowling Green. He told police that his sister, 27-year-old Taylor Barnett, called him because she believed someone was trying to break into the residence.<\/p>\n
Once he got there, he says he saw two people coming back towards the residence.<\/p>\n
Court documents state, that Barnett went outside with his gun and fired 14 rounds at one of the subjects as they were running away from the apartment. He says he threw the weapon in the brush, took a shower, then called the police.<\/p>\n
16-year-old Jamarco Dye was found dead in the backyard of the complex from multiple gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n
Tylan has been charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence. He is being held in the Warren County Regional Jail on a $1 million cash bond.<\/p>\n
