On September 16, 2024, the Madisonville Police Department said they were requested to assist a deadly crash on Nebo Road near Manitou, Kentucky.<\/p>\n
Officers say the crash resulted in the death of a child and left one driver and passenger with severe injuries.<\/p>\n
Madisonville Police Department said they worked the investigation over the past several months with help from Kentucky State Police.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, the case was presented to a Hopkins Grand Jury, which returned a Warrant of Indictment for 34 year-old Jessica Settle of Manitou.<\/p>\n
She faces charges of Vehicular Homicide When Under the Influence of Drugs, two counts of Assault 2nd Degree, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs 2nd Offense, Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Drug Paraphernalia, and Persistent Felony Offender 2st Degree.<\/p>\n
She was arrested and booked into the Hopkins County Jail under a $500,000 cash bond.
