The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Louisville announced Tuesday that their recreation areas in the Green River Area were impacted by the flooding. Teams are working on cleanup and recovery efforts along with safety assessments of each site.<\/p>\n
As water recedes, crews are expected to conduct inspections to check on infrastructure conditions and determine whether repairs are necessary. Additional rainfall could delay these efforts.<\/p>\n
At Barren River Lake, three areas were impacted by the flooding. One area has reopened.<\/p>\n
Bailey\u2019s Point: Closed through at least May 22, 2025
\nThe Narrows: Set to reopen May 16, 2025
\nTailwater: Reopened on April 4, 2025<\/p>\n
At Green River Lake, a few areas were impacted.<\/p>\n
Holmes Bend \u2013 Reopened on April 18, 2025
\nSmith Ridge \u2013 Set to reopen May 9, 2025
\nPikes Ridge \u2013 Closed through at least May 29, 2025<\/p>\n
At Nolin River Lake in Bee Spring, areas surrounding Dog Creek, Moutardier and Wax are scheduled to reopen May 23, 2025.<\/p>\n
At Rough River Lake in Falls of Rough, several areas remain closed due to extensive flooding.<\/p>\n

\nLoops C & D (Sites 30\u201362) \u2013 Closed through at least May 15, 2025
\nLoops A & B (Sites 1\u201329) \u2013 Set to reopen on May 1, 2025
\nNorth Fork and Cave Creek Campgrounds \u2013 Set to reopen on May 15, 2025<\/p>\n
Reservations made at campgrounds are expected to be canceled and refunded by recreation.gov, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.<\/p>\n
If a camper has a reservation that includes days before and after the campground opens, they\u2019ll get an email explaining this. They will need to take action, or their reservation will be canceled.
