Kody Warf is charged with three counts of murder.<\/p>\n
Just before 5 a.m. on April 8, Louisville Metro Police officers responded to a shooting in the 2200 block of Griffiths Avenue, according to a Louisville Metro Police Department news release.<\/p>\n
Officers on the scene found two men and one woman inside a home suffering from gunshot wounds. EMS declared them deceased shortly after.<\/p>\n
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as 37-year-old Mallory Cox, 49-year-old David H. Clark Jr. and 37-year-old Robert M. Auter.<\/p>\n
According to Louisville Metro Police Department, Warf was arrested on April 12 when officers spotted his car in the 1700 block of Hill Street in the Algonquin neighborhood.<\/p>\n
At the time, Warf also had a felony bench warrant out of Floyd County, Indiana.<\/p>\n
When detectives turned on their lights and sirens to stop him, Warf sped away.<\/p>\n
While driving away from the detectives, Warf crashed into one of their cars and another parked car in the area, causing serious damage to both vehicles.<\/p>\n
According to the arrest citation, damage to both cars is estimated at over $1,000.<\/p>\n
After the crash, Warf got out of the car and attempted to run away but was later detained.<\/p>\n
When officers conducted a search of his car, they found a stolen gun and other items used to manufacture ammunition, according to an arrest citation.<\/p>\n
During the arrest, Warf provided police with a fake name and birthdate. He was also driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance.<\/p>\n
After being placed in handcuffs, Warf tried to run from police a second time but was later detained, according to the arrest citation.<\/p>\n
In addition to three counts of murder, Warf is also facing charges for possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, fleeing police, criminal mischief, escape in the 3rd degree, providing false information to police, receiving stolen property and operating a vehicle on a suspended license.
