State Representative Samara Heavrin says she was \u201cdeeply disturbed\u201d to find out there were photos of girls and women of Grayson County, including herself, taken from social media and posted on the site without her consent. She plans to explore legislation to protect victims of these crimes.<\/p>\n
Heavrin said while many of the photos were of clothed women, the horrific comments posted by users of the website are something that will take years for these women to overcome. This behavior is unacceptable.<\/p>\n
She goes on to say that this is a reminder that we do not have control of photos that are posted on our own social media.<\/p>\n
Heavrin urges anyone whose photo was online to contact the Grayson County Attorney\u2019s Office at 270-259-9306. She says they are gathering victim information for whenever charges are brought by law enforcement.<\/p>\n
The Grayson County Sheriff\u2019s Office said they are aware of the individual posting these pictures and have been in contact with them.<\/p>\n
They say Kentucky State Police and Leitchfield Police are also involved in the investigation.<\/p>\n
The sheriff\u2019s office assures residents the person will be held accountable for any laws broken.
