Jeffersontown police said a crash involving a vehicle and a scooter happened near South Hurstbourne Parkway at 11:27 p.m. Tuesday. That is where police said Erica Parker hit the scooter. The rider was knocked off the scooter and left unconscious before being taken to the hospital. <\/p>\n
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the rider of the scooter died at the hospital Wednesday afternoon. He was identified as 38 year-old Donell Johnson.<\/p>\n
Investigators said Parker told police she had one beer about three hours earlier, but was unsteady on her feet and smelled of alcohol. After conducting a field sobriety test, Parker was arrested. She is charged with assault and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.<\/p>\n
Parker pleaded not guilty in arraignment court Wednesday morning and her bond was set at $35,000 cash. She remains at Metro Corrections and is scheduled to appear in court next Thursday, May 29.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
