According to Governor Andy Beshear, aerospace is now Kentucky\u2019s number 1 export, with over 100 aerospace facilities in the Commonwealth providing jobs to more than 23,000 citizens.<\/p>\n
In Morgantown, Aerospace Composites Solutions has created up to 72 new jobs with the new facility, which creates equipment that contributes to aerial firefighting and national defense projects, including unmanned drones.<\/p>\n
Congressman Brett Guthrie was in attendance as well. He spoke on the growth that Morgantown and Butler County have seen since 2003, when approximately 700 jobs were lost due to Sumitomo Plant closure.<\/p>\n
According to Beshear, over $18 million has been invested in the Morgantown and Butler County community since the Aerospace Composites Solutions facility was announced in July 2023.
