It happened around 2 a.m. on June 1 on Bardstown Road near Grinstead Drive. When police arrived, they say there was a large crowd of hundreds of people. Louisville Metro Police arrested 22-year-old Antayvia Brown and 21-year-old Jakaya Snyzer. The arrest report states they were fighting people in the crowd. They are both charged with disorderly conduct, but Brown carries the additional charge of trespassing.<\/p>\n
There was also a 16-year-old charged in connection to the incident.<\/p>\n
This all comes as the Fifth Division began a new enforcement strategy on Friday night, but many are left wondering what else can be done.<\/p>\n
During a Monday afternoon press conference, Mayor Craig Greenberg addressed the issue on Bardstown Road. He said \u201ceverything\u201d, including adjusting bar closing times, is on the table.<\/p>\n
Greenberg also said he plans on talking with businesses in the area to address their concerns and his plans to reduce violence moving forward.
