He said the county currently provides approximately $20,000 annually that is used for rent and to cover basic operational needs of the facility. Straney said the current lease ends in September. He asked the court to provide a county representative to assist with the negotiation of the new lease or possibly explore the possibility to purchase the former library site, since county tax dollars were involved. Judge Executive Troy Kok asked Straney to provide specific information related to current and possible rate increases along with other expenses to allow the county to review the request.<\/p>\n<p>In the business session, Fiscal Court approved a request to auction off three trucks from the Meade County Solid Waste and Recycling Center in September. They also approved the seek bids for financing new trucks for the department. The court approved the second reading of a ordinance adopting the Kentucky Model Procurement Code. Magistrates approved requested fuel cards for each county owned vehicle. They also approved to seek bids for bulk fuel for county use.<\/p>\n<p>The court approved resolutions related to agreements with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for repairs to the Long Branch Road Bridge and the annual flex funds from the state fuel tax. The state will provide $35,000 and furnish materials for the bridge repair while county will supply labor for the project.
