According to a statement issued by the Food and Drug Administration, some individually-wrapped packs of the crackers may be incorrectly labeled as cheese variety even though they may be a peanut butter variety.<\/p>\n
The recall covers the eight-pack, 20-pack and 40-pack cartons of Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches, in addition to the 20-pack Ritz Filled Cracker Sandwich variety pack carton.<\/p>\n
The company said all cartons are labeled correctly on the outside with an allergen advisory statement that indicates the crackers \u201ccontain peanuts.\u201d<\/p>\n
The recall doesn\u2019t cover cartons that only have the cheese cracker sandwich or any other Mondel\u0113z Global LLC products.<\/p>\n
The FDA said there have been no reports of injury or illness in connection to this recall. Anyone with a peanut allergy shouldn\u2019t eat these crackers and should throw them away.
