\nA Louisville man has been arrested in connection with the theft of propane tanks worth several thousand dollars.<\/p>\n
George R. Weber III, 42, is charged with three counts of burglary, one count of theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 and one count of theft by unlawful taking under $10,000.<\/p>\n
His arrest citation says Weber was involved in a theft at Commonwealth Propane during which 12 propane tanks were taken. The tanks and their contents are valued at $3,480.<\/p>\n
After getting information about a vehicle involved in the theft, Louisville Metro police detectives located the vehicle at a hotel in the 1600 block of Hurstbourne Parkway. After making contact with Weber and giving him his Miranda rights, the report says Weber admitted to the theft being investigated but also admitted to committing four other burglaries between April 6 and July 2, 2025, during which propane tanks were taken.<\/p>\n
In addition to the theft of the propane tanks, Weber was also charged with possession of methamphetamine that was found in his hotel room.<\/p>\n
Weber was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections on a $10,000 cash bond. He was scheduled for arraignment on July 18.
