\nKentucky State Police Post 16 in Henderson received a call from Ohio County Dispatch around 12:20 a.m. CT Wednesday of a two-vehicle collision on US 62, just west of Beaver Dam in Ohio County.<\/p>\n

Preliminary investigation reveals a 17 year-old juvenile of McHenry, Kentucky was traveling eastbound on US 62 in a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu. The investigation determined the driver crossed the centerline and struck a 2008 Dodge Ram truck, driven by 28 year-old Diana Sanchez of Beaver Dam, who was traveling westbound.<\/p>\n
The juvenile driver was pronounced dead on-scene. Sanchez was transported via ambulance to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
It is unknow at this time if all participants were wearing their seatbelts; however, Kentucky State Police troopers are currently reconstructing the collision. <\/p>\n
The investigation is on-going by the Kentucky State Police.<\/p>\n
Kentucky State Police, Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, Beaver Dam Police Department, Hartford and Beaver Dam Fire Departments, Ohio County EMS and Ohio County Coroner’s Office assisted troopers at the scene.
