A news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky said 35 year-old Huey Kirksey was sentenced on Friday for distributing more than 50 grams of meth across Louisville.<\/p>\n
In 2023, Kirksey plead guilty to one count of conspiring to distribute, and two counts of distributing meth. Prosecutors said Kirksey had distributed more than 900 grams of meth through “law enforcement-controlled purchases. Kirksey was indicted in August 2024.<\/p>\n
Court records show Kirksey was also convicted of another felony drug trafficking charge in 2018.<\/p>\n
Based on his criminal history, the Court imposed a sentence of 15 years and 8 months prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
