\nKentucky’s first-ever medical cannabis dispensary is getting the green light from Governor Andy Beshear.<\/p>\n

The Post Dispensary in Beaver Dam is expected to open its doors sometime this fall. <\/p>\n

Beshear said in a post on social media it is another major step forward in making sure Kentuckians with serious medical conditions have access to the medicine they need.<\/p>\n

The announcement comes after the governor asked President Donald Trump to allow marijuana to be reclassified as a Schedule III drug from a Schedule I drug. In a letter, Beshear wrote that patients suffering should have access to safe cannabis treatment, and rescheduling the drug would help provide more relief for Americans.<\/p>\n
