In May, a jury found Steve Lawson guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence in the Bardstown mom’s 2015 disappearance. <\/p>\n
Judge Charles Simms chose to follow the jury’s recommended sentence, giving Lawson 17 years in prison.<\/p>\n
The judge also denied Lawson’s motion for a retrial and recommended that Lawson not be considered for conditional discharge or parole.<\/p>\n
Rogers\u2019 former boyfriend, Brooks Houck, and Lawson\u2019s son, Joseph Lawson, were also convicted on all charges in the Rogers’ death. <\/p>\n
Their sentencing is scheduled for August 21.
