Spokesperson for the General Motors Bowling Green Assembly Corvette Plant Rachel Bagshaw confirmed the two stolen cars were ZR1 model Corvettes.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Kentucky State Police, Bowling Green Police Department, and Warren County Sheriff\u2019s Office were swift in their response and successfully located both vehicles,\u201d Bagshaw said. \u201cWe are grateful for the support and partnership with all law enforcement involved.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bowling Green Police Department Public Information Officer Ronnie Ward said one was recovered in Bowling Green and the other was located about three hours away in Martin County, Indiana.<\/p>\n
He said neither of the Corvettes were damaged, but the one recovered in Bowling Green was spike stripped during the pursuit.<\/p>\n
Ward also confirmed that the man arrested was 20-year-old Daedrin Cool from Detroit.<\/p>\n
Cool was booked into the Warren County Regional Jail around 3:45 a.m. Saturday and charged with Engaging in Organized Crime; First-degree Fleeing or Evading Police in a Motor Vehicle; First-degree Wanton Endangerment; Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition of an Automobile between $10,00 and $1 million; First-degree Criminal Mischief; Tampering with Physical Evidence and Obscuring the identity of a machine $10,000 or more.<\/p>\n
Kentucky State Police and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the recovery of the vehicles and the arrest of Cool.<\/p>\n
This is the second heist at the plant this year.
