According to the Paducah Police Department, Jystacye D. Pitts and Capus J. Adams are facing charges after officers responded to multiple gunshots in the 900 block of Boyd Street at around 3:05 a.m. on August 9.<\/p>\n
Pitts has been charged with first-degree wanton endangerment after he admitted to firing a gun in a crowded area.<\/p>\n
Adams has been charged with multiple offenses after officers saw him shooting in the direction of several people. Adams also ran from the officers, throwing out his gun during the chase. He was quickly arrested, and the weapon was recovered.<\/p>\n
During their investigation, detectives have also confirmed that three women were shot during the incident.<\/p>\n
A 20-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman were treated at a local hospital before being transported to an out-of-state hospital.<\/p>\n
As of Sunday morning, August 10, the 20-year-old is on life support, and the 23-year-old is listed in critical but stable condition.<\/p>\n
The third woman, a 28-year-old, was treated at a local hospital and released.<\/p>\n
