\nThe 2025 Kentucky State Fair is entering its first weekend with big crowds expected and safety top of mind.<\/p>\n

Friday was sunny and hot with lots of fun happening and no reports of crime. Fair officials are hoping it stays that way as the fair brings back its chaperone policy again this year. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is at least 21 every weekday after 6 p.m. Chaperones are needed all day on Saturdays and Sundays. <\/p>\n

Officials said IDs are being checked at the gate. There is a limit of six minors for each chaperone, so if you are bringing a larger group, you will need more adults.<\/p>\n

Fair officials said the rules and new security equipment will help keep the event safe and family-friendly as massive crowds pack the fairgrounds.<\/p>\n

The fair runs through Sunday, August 24.<\/p>\n

There are several items that you are not allowed to bring to the fair, including weapons, drones and lasers.<\/p>\n
