Shawn Long said he dropped them off at a shop and used car lot on Holmes Street in Frankfort on July 20. <\/p>\n
Long said he stopped by periodically to check on repairs and was told it was still a work in progress.<\/p>\n
But about three weeks after dropping off the vehicles, he tried to reach out to the mechanic again.<\/p>\n
Long said he knew something was wrong when he inquired about a truck he was interested in but didn’t get any response. That is when he drove out there and saw the whole place was empty.<\/p>\n
Police told him his cars had been scrapped. A Frankfort Police detective is now working on the case.
