\nKentucky State Police are investigating after a vehicle and human remains were discovered in the Ohio River near a boat ramp off Dike Lane in Morganfield in Union County Friday morning.<\/p>\n

Around 10:00 a.m. September 12, a scuba diver located a submerged vehicle and immediately notified authorities. Upon recovery, human remains were also discovered.<\/p>\n
At this time, the identity of the remains has not been confirmed. However, investigators believe the discovery may be connected to a Union County man who was reported missing in 2006.<\/p>\n
The vehicle and remains are being processed by investigators, and the remains has been sent to the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office for identification and further analysis.<\/p>\n
Kentucky State Police are continuing the investigation in coordination with local authorities.
