Earlier this month, Joseph Lawson was sentenced to 20 years for conspiracy to murder and five years for tampering with evidence, with both sentences to be served consecutively.<\/p>\n
On September 29, a motion was filed on Lawson\u2019s behalf, giving notice of his plans to take his appeal to the Kentucky Supreme Court to get \u201cthis Court\u2019s final judgment and sentencing order.\u201d<\/p>\n
A judge previously denied Lawson\u2019s motion for a new trial and judgment notwithstanding the verdict.
