According to Indiana State Police, the Louisville Airport and the FAA called troopers at 10 p.m. about a possible downed plane near the Orange County-Lawrence County line.<\/p>\n
Police said a Lancair fixed-wing, single-engine aircraft crashed into a heavily wooded area in Orange County near Old Vincennes Road.<\/p>\n
Officers located the plane around 4 a.m. Sunday. The pilot was found inside the plane with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.<\/p>\n
The pilot had to be carried out by stretcher due to the dense woods.
