According to a police report, officers were dispatched on Sunday (10\/19) to Baptist Health Deaconess Emergency Room in reference to a disturbance.<\/p>\n
Officials say officers made contact with the suspect, later identified as 50 year-old William Risk of Madisonville, who was speaking to ER staff and nurses in an aggressive manner.<\/p>\n
They say Risk was threatening to kick staff and nurses in the face and take the entire floor of the hospital as hostages if he did not get his way.<\/p>\n
Police say after a brief altercation, officers were able to place Risk in handcuffs and transport him to the Hopkins County Jail where he is being held under a $1,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 24.<\/p>\n
He has been charged with Terroristic Threatening, Menacing and Resisting Arrest.
